A Learning Story is first and foremost a story. It tells a tale to the teachers who work with
the child. Their interpretation of the stories is crucial when planning for future learning opportunities. It tells a story to the child’s parents in order for connections to be made between learning at home and learning at school. It also tells a story to the child so that they can reflect on their play and learning, helping them to initiate further activity. Learning Stories document and describe a child’s learning process, how they cope with challenges, resolve conflicts, and persist when faced with difficulty.
This is the story of Will.
